DoD Writing Office Suite Based On OOo

Sun's Jim Laurent reports that the Department of Defense is writing its own secured office suite, using OpenOffice.org code as a starting point.  Microsoft's "Shared Source" program, apparently, does not give them enough freedom to use the code and the resulting applications in ways that meet their needs.  Sun has a couple of seminars coming up about how they are working with open source communities.
