Indian Space Launch

In the "all things technical" department, Space.com tells us that India's Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle successfully launched four satellites.  One of them is a recoverable vehicle, meant to return to the Indian Ocean.  I think this is great.  We don't often hear of the peaceful uses that India is finding for the military technology they have developed.

Now if only our own space agency would get back on the disposable rockets track instead of trying to keep patching shuttle designs.  Sometimes, you just have to go back to the drawing board, something that will soon occur to a certain software company in the Northwest.
